Ease plantar pain with the MendMeShop Therapeutic Ultrasound Kit

The plantar, which literally means “bottom of the foot”, is supported by a shock absorber called the fascia. Plantar fasciitis is an inflammation of this connective tissue. Generally, plantar fasciitis affects athletes and people over 40 years of age. The stabbing pain, which gradually gets better throughout the day as the fascia stretches out, will affect your ability to work and be active. And for most people they will try to compensate for this by distributing their weight elsewhere on the foot which can put your knees, hips and back at risk.

Plantar fasciitis is caused by excessive wear and tear on the fascia, which in this case means the condition is a repetitive strain injury (RSI). Every time your foot strikes the ground your plantar fascia is stretched, when your heel lifts off the ground your plantar fascia experiences tension. Any extra tension coming from excessive training can result in overstretching, inflammation and/or micro-tearing of the fascia at your heel, the weakest point.

Plantar fasciitis is considered a self-limiting condition, which means you can control the pain and the progression of the condition by making some simple changes to your lifestyle. For example, improper shoes such as high heels and training too hard too suddenly can put excessive strain on the plantar fascia. However, sometimes plantar fasciitis is related to other conditions like faulty foot mechanics such as being flat footed or having a high arch which affects the way you walk and run. Some other related conditions include: arthritis, can cause inflammation in the tendons in the bottom of your foot; heel spurs, can actually be caused by plantar fasciitis; and diabetes, there are higher occurrences of plantar fasciitis in those who have diabetes.

Treatments for plantar fasciitis are aimed at reducing inflammation, pain, increasing the fascia’s range of motion, and speeding recovery time. A speedy and effective recovery should be your highest priority, not only so you can return to a high level of performance, but also because prolonged injuries can lead to scar tissue and a higher risk of re-injury.

Dear MendMeShop,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for providing me with such great products. I am a 43 year old male that enjoys playing Basketball, jogging and other competitive sports. Over the last few years i have had the misfortune of having to deal with Plantar Fasciitis.

Last year I had suffered a pretty bad injury playing basketball. So, I logged on to your website and purchased a ultra sound device and gel from your company.

I am pleased to say that the ultra sound device helped me significantly with the healing process. Since my initial injury, I have had a couple of Plantar Fasciitis flare-ups, having the ultra sound device and gel has helped me recover from these in a timely manner.

Hopefully, with the aid of your products I can continue to play hard, even well into my golden years.

I would definitely recommend your products to anyone who may be dealing with Plantar Fasciitis.

P.S. I would also like to extend a special thanks to your great Customer Service team.

At the onset of plantar fasciitis immediate measures should be taken in order to avoid serious damage. Ignoring the symptoms thinking they will go away naturally and continuing with activities that cause foot pain will certainly lead to more serious problems in the future. In order to avoid serious plantar injuries try to maintain a strict regimen of icing after walking or running.

To control pain in the initial stages of the injury the application of cold therapy can help slow blood flow. Our cold compression wraps are made of the highest quality materials available. They fit perfectly, stay in place, are extremely durable, and use a special patented baffled cold array. What is a baffled cold array? All other cold packs simply use a plastic bag partially filled with cold gel. What is sure to happen is the gel pools in the low spots or in pockets where there is no pressure. Fill a plastic bag with water and put it on your arm and watch what happens - all the water sits in two pools on either side of your arm. Cold compression wraps work because they interrupt and slow nerve and cell function in the damaged area.

This can be further helped by the use of ultrasound applications over the affected area, as it reduces swelling quickly and increases blood flow to the area.

Ultrasound dramatically reduces inflammation and swelling in the injured area. You need to reduce the swelling and stimulate the blood flow so your plantar gets the nutrition and oxygen it needs to properly heal. Inflammation around the area can create extreme pain and reduce your ability to move.

Once the severe swelling and inflammation has been reduced, the Inferno Wrap's Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy will give you healing energy waves that stimulate blood flow. This speeds up healing and clears away the toxins causing the pain. Furthermore, you can use the Plantar/Spur Inferno Wrap™ that will provide deep penetrating heat to help improve flexibility in your plantar fascia before stretching the area in the morning and throughout the day.

Dear MendMeShop,

Two years ago, I was diagnosed with Achilles Tendonitis and Plantar Fasciitis, I have no idea as to how I became injured, but it was there and it became so difficult to walk at times, especially after getting up from a resting position that I had to seriously address it. I went to a podiatrist and after trying several treatments such as physical therapy, prescription orhtotics and acupuncture there was no improvement, so the subject of surgery was suggested by the podiatrist. I was totally opposed to surgery.
I heard about ultrasound therapy by a friend that told me it was used at times for sports injury. I found the MENDMESHOP on line, I spoke to them several times and the friendly staff gave me a great deal of information on the use of the ultrasound machine.
I purchased the ultrasound machine and after three weeks of use, I noticed a significant improvement in my condition, not only did I use the machine on the Achilles and Plantar tendons, but also my wife used it on a Rotator Cuff tear with the same results. I am extremely satisfied with the therapeutic results from the machine and highly recommend the device.
